OUR CHURCH
St. Thomas Lutheran Church was named after St. Thomas, “The Doubter”. The first service was held on October 29, 1967 and the church has been in its current location since 1972. The Reverend Daniel Coy has served as the Pastor since 1992.
Lutheranism is a faith tradition that is open to all, regardless of background. Lutherans are Christians who accept the teachings of Martin Luther, a German theologian. Lutherans believe that God created and loves all of creation. We believe that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives though his death on the cross and his new life, and we trust that God’s Spirit is active in the world.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America is a community of faith that shares a passion for making positive changes in the world. Our faith is built around a strong belief in God as made known to us in Jesus Christ. Through worship, service and education, we practice our faith, grow our relationship with God and experience God’s grace in our lives. We also work hard to put our faith into action. We try to make a difference in today’s world in practical and realistic ways.
We invite you to visit St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
